Working again with EcoArc Architects we constructed this stunning contemporary extension using AirTec Aerated Blocks and External Wall insulation (EWI), Internorm triple glazed air tight windows & doors, a Paul MVHR and everything that could be was wrapped and taped in Pro-Clima air tight membranes.
The solar gain from all the fenestration coupled with the high levels of insulation and air tightness meant although the existing condensing boiler was kept, the bills have been drastically reduced. This can of course only be achieved with the use of a MVHR unit.
